- Why each process area still gets its own Word BMR, and what retyping costs
- An illustrative cost model: about 105 hours a month back to Production and QA in a plant revising 20 area BMRs a month
- Extend, don't retype: only what differs between areas changes, each difference with its reason
- How QA reviews only the differences, and the QA Head approves them with an electronic signature
- Buyer specifications: each buyer's limit beside the internal limit, enforced as results are entered

Executive summary
Oral solid dose manufacturers rarely make a product in only one place. The same granules or tablets run in several process areas of a block, each with its own equipment, SOPs and registers. Many products are also made for several buyers, each with its own specification. In most plants each combination still lives in a Word document: the BMR is retyped for every area, the buyer limits sit on an internal-limits page read by eye, and QA reviews each copy line by line.
Atto Pharma eBMR replaces that with two capabilities:
- One approved BMR, extended to every process area that makes the same kind of product. Production starts from the approved master and changes only what differs between areas: equipment, parameters and references, each with its reason. QA reviews only the differences, and the QA Head approves them with an electronic signature.
- Each buyer's limits, enforced during the batch, always the stricter limit. For every buyer, the BMR holds the buyer's limit beside the manufacturer's internal limit. Every result is checked as it is entered, and a result outside a limit needs a remark or a deviation number before work continues.
The outcome is fewer documents to write and review, no drift between areas, and evidence of compliance built into the record rather than added afterwards.
